BIBLE STUDY IS CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Join us each week as we study Peter’s first letter to those who are suffering. 1 Peter firms up our position with God and provides practical instructions for handling opposition from those who do not follow Jesus Christ. Peter also provides guidance for healthy relationships in the Church and in the home.

Teacher: Bruce Shauger
Bruce grew up in New Jersey and spent his high school summers at a Bible Camp in upstate New York. Bruce developed an interest in overseas Missions. He graduated from LeTourneau College with Engineering and Aviation Degrees though strongly desiring to serve God overseas. While working for various aircraft companies in Kansas Bruce spent a summer in the Philippines with Action International Ministries. That experience resulted in Bruce taking several teams to the Philippines and eventually moving to Manila a few weeks after the Peoples’ Power Revolution in 1986. Bruce later met his wife Elsa there and married in Manila. Desiring to rightly teach the Word Bruce and Elsa returned to the US where Bruce earned a MDIV degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Bruce and Elsa moved back to Kansas and over the years helped with numerous church plants. In 2001 Bruce and Elsa moved to Cedar Rapids where they both have been involved with various ministries along with teaching.
